Today, 3 October, is the local feast of St Thomas de Cantilupe, bishop of Hereford and one-time Chancellor of Oxford University. An excellent biography can be found here. This rose window, from the south transept of Burgos Cathedral in Spain, is filled with medieval stained glass and shows a sainted bishop surrounded by heraldic emblems of Castile & Leon, as well as scenes from the life of Christ.
